My Name is Kara Milianta. I am originally from Seneca Falls, my family and I live in Little Falls and my husband is from Long Island. I have a BA in Studio Art , Minor in Art History and have a MST in Art Education. I have been teaching Art for 17 years and have taught at each grade level including College NOW and AP Studio Art. I am a mom of three very active boys that play a gazillion sports!!! I have extensive knowledge in many Adobe products that are not limited to just photography. I offer Graphic Design services, I host paint parties, and custom commissioned artwork. I also offer private photography, painting, drawing and college portfolio prep lessons. I am looking to expand into pottery within the next few years.
I LOVE to shoot outdoors and I am always up for an adventure. I am willing to travel (especially for a destination wedding). I do not like to put my models into uncomfortable poses and I prefer to capture you for who you are. My favorite part about each session is getting to know you and capturing all of those special moments.
I work with a Canon 1DX Mark ii. Here are the very three things that set this camera apart from all of the rest... 61-point autofocus, 14 fps continuous shooting and Native ISO from 100-51,200 (expandable to 50-409,600). So you are probably asking yourself what does this mean? First , it's really fast...like 14 pictures per SECOND. Secon

So you are probably asking yourself what does this mean? First , it's really fast...like 14 pictures per SECOND. Secondly, Most standard DSLR cameras highest ISO is 12800. ISO controls the "graininess" of a picture. So if you have a camera like a Canon T5 and you try shooting a wedding in a low light church, you will have very grainy pictures. The Canon 1DX mark ii pictures in the same situation would be sharp due to the expandable ISO. Lastly, The 61 Auto focal points in conjunction with my two favorite lenses creates very sharp images that can have both an all focus or Bokeh effect. I LOVE to geek out and talk shop. If you do too, we can talk about it during your session!
